Scanner Bridge
Put your office scanner straight into OCR.
Download the AVERQIS Scanner Bridge for Windows — a tiny app that sends scanned documents from your practice scanner into the AVERQIS OCR pipeline, ready to classify, review and export.
Windows 10/11 · Node.js runtime included · no install or admin rights required · free for AVERQIS users.
1 · Register the scanner
In the AVERQIS Staff Console, go to Practice → Scan devices and register the scanner. Copy the one-time device token.
2 · Download & set up
Download the Scanner Bridge for Windows, unzip it, and run “Setup Bridge.bat” to paste your token. No install or admin rights needed — Node.js is bundled.
3 · Start scanning
Run “Start Bridge.bat”. Drop scanned files into your scan folder, or scan directly through the scanner’s TWAIN/WIA driver.
How it scans
Works with the scanners you already own.
Folder mode
Any scanner with “scan to folder”: files dropped into your AVERQIS Scans folder are uploaded automatically.
Direct scan (TWAIN/WIA)
Scan straight from the scanner driver on Windows: scan --list, then scan --device "Scanner Name".
Auto-start
Run “Install Auto-Start.bat” once so the bridge starts automatically at Windows sign-in.
Secure by design
- • Device tokens are stored hashed in AVERQIS and can be revoked at any time.
- • Uploads go over HTTPS using the scanner's token only — no passwords.
- • Scanned documents enter the same review queue and audit trail as every other upload.
- • The bundled runtime is the official Node.js build (MIT licensed).
